Cheap ESP-01 programmer for less than 2€ Using a very cheap USB Serial adapter for the ESP8266 (available on ebay at around 1€) and 2 1N4148 diodes, it is possible to create a simple ESP-01 programmer with autoflash functionalities. After modification, it will be possible to flash any ESP-01 module with AnnexToolkit automatically. The modification consists in the wiring of 2 unused pins of the chip CH340 to the GPIO0 and the Reset pins of the ESP8266. In order to maintains the possibility to use these pins for testing while on the adapter, 2 generic 1N4148 diodes must be connected in series. They can, eventually, be removed ( not installed).    |
